    Steve Appleton, chairman and CEO of Micron Technology, has died in the crash of a small plane in Boise, Idaho, the company said Friday. He was 51.

    Appleton's experimental, single-engine Lancair plane crashed about 9 a.m. between two runways at the Boise airport, according to KTVB.com, the website for Boise's NBC TV affiliate. He was the only person onboard.

    May he rest in peace.

    All of us at TuxReportsNetwork extend our condolences to his family and to the Micron family with whom LPH has had many pleasantly productive business meetings.

    I saw this news and had to look down in sadness but my sadness is probably a thousand times less than the intensity of emotions felt by his family. I wish them well as they work through their loss.
